Services - Photo Restoration
Every photo has its own unique restoration challenges.
Some photos are in surprisingly good shape after all these years, and only need minor edits, such as a contrast boost and minor color correction for faded colors. Most other photos are in need of moderate or major photo restoration.
Minor photo restoration generally includes the above-mentioned, plus fixing specks, smudges, fingerprints, or other minor areas on a solid or plain background.
Moderate restoration is indicated when those smudges, fingerprints, etc. are on more sensitive areas such as a busier background. Moderate restoration also includes more significant color-correction, such as enhancing color (saturation and levels), as well as repairing torn areas.
Major restorative work is when smudges, tears, stains, etc are covering a more important part of the photo, namely faces, hands, etc., depending on the subject of the photo. Anything that involves regenerating lost information is considered major work, despite how small the area to be repainted is.
There are also various levels of restoration quality, and this is generally limited by budget. A photo may be restored to a much better level than it was when submitted in just 15 minutes, but to get it restored back to its original splendor may be another story. It's a matter of good, better and best. Just like anything else, a person pays for quality, and quality is generally measured in the amount of time it takes to produce.
At My Restored Photos, we always strive to give you the best quality while working with your budget.
Please keep in mind that there isn't much that can be done with a blurry or out of focus photo. Sharpening the image, as well as other techniques can help, but there is no way to guarantee a good result from a blurry photo.
